Meet the team

Community Care Collective is a team of passionate and enthusiastic young people who are determined to help you reach your goals- whatever they may be.

We exist to provide equal opportunity in all facets of life to our participants.

We believe in their potential, their ability and their confidence.

We come from a variety of backgrounds including education, allied health, community engagement and disability support. Together, we believe that everyone should have access to social opportunities, new experiences, capacity building workshops and most importantly, fun!

Andrew

Andrew

Our co-founder ‘Loz’ is our chief day planner, head of staff and snack provider. He is always on the lookout for fun and engaging activities for us to do. Loz brings a wealth of experience in the disability space and has worked with a number of our clients for over a decade. He loves all things AFL, NBA and tennis. Loz is our creative games master and brings a contagious energy to the group. He sets the standard for care and engagement.

Josh

Josh

Our other co-founder Josh is our head of program delivery, resident hype man and source of seemingly limitless energy. Josh’s passion lies in helping our young people reach their physical and personal development goals. He can often be seen eating, capturing content for our instagram, or wearing shorts in the middle of winter. Josh’s ‘favourite’ CCC experience so far has been riding the Taipan rollercoaster at Dreamworld.

Elise

Elise

The glue that holds the entire operation together! Elise is our General Manager and while she is often behind the CCC desk, she loves nothing more than getting out with our groups and enjoying new experiences. Elise is a qualified Physiotherapist and brings a calm and caring energy to our group. Her favourite CCC experiences with involve being outside in the sun, being around animals, getting involved in wellness and going away on our weekend adventures. She loves using her creativity to keep the program unique and tailored to provide one of a kind experiences.

Samantha

Samantha

Samantha has come from an Allied Health background, working as an Accredited Exercise Physiologist over the last 5 years. Within this role, she has worked 1:1 with NDIS and private clients in goal setting, lifestyle and behaviour changes, exercise prescription and education.

She has recently joined the CCC team full-time as Operations Coordinator, and also works in-field across the week.

Samantha comes from a big sporting background. She’s played a lot of tennis, and most recently football. She also loves going to the gym and keeping active.

Byron

Byron

Byron comes from a background in carpentry which has helped him to navigate the logistical aspect of program planning and implementation.

He has also worked in disability sport and is a self proclaimed fitness lover. He uses this knowledge, passion and experience into the program by focusing on connection, teamwork and friendship. Outside of work you will find him in the pool, on the bike, going for a run, or hanging out with his dog – Iggy.

Byron’s favourite activities to do with the group are attending music gigs and going on monthly camps.

Billy

Billy

Billy is our newest full time staff member, resident handyman and outdoor adventure extraordinaire. He is one of our in-field team leaders who loves our active and sport based activity days. When he’s not at work he can be seen kitting out his van for travelling, attending live music or cheering on the mighty Tigers. Billy’s favourite CCC adventure this year was to the Dandenong Ranges.

Merita

Merita

Merita has recently made the jump across from her counselling and mental health background to full time disability support, and couldn’t be happier with the move! She brings a very calm and nurturing approach to our program and loves to work with our higher needs participants. Merita is also a busy mother of two, big F1 fan and avid Collingwood supporter. Her favourite days on CCC are our awesome day trips to the beach or Yarra Valley.

Taj

Taj

Taj is one of our newest and youngest full timers to join the program, providing the brightness and youth every work environment needs.

He loves all sports, none more than basketball and golf. Taj loves to go camping as being out in nature keeps him sane.

Taj is also another big time Collingwood supporter! His favourite CCC days are anything sport/adventure related. He says he can’t wait for what the future at CCC brings for him!

Shane

Shane

Shane has just finished studying with Richmond Institute of Sports & Leadership. He found CCC through a placement while studying and fell in love with the program!

He also has experience with disability support and has leapt at the opportunity to move to CCC and provide meaningful experiences for all the participants he works with.

His favourite days as CCC are the ones where participants are able to try or experience something new and seeing the joy on their faces! Outside of work, you’ll catch Shane watching Hawthorn play, travelling the world with his wife and playing board games.

Jackson

Jackson

Jackson is a multi-award-winning actor, writer, and director outside of CCC, with a decade of experience working on projects for both national and international screens. Despite his love for the creative industry, he is also an avid sports fan. Growing up in the small country town of Portland taught him the value of working in a community environment, which he now brings to his role at CCC. Jackson’s skills and traits make him a great fit for supporting participants in achieving their goals. His favourite CCC adventures are the camps and connecting with the participants in a more relaxed environment.

Daniel

Daniel

Daniel completed the Richmond Institute Sports & Leadership program and loves his role at CCC as a disability support worker.

His warm and extroverted qualities allow him to develop amazing relationships with our participants – bringing a fun and engaging experience to each day to make sure everyone gets the most smiles out of their day.

Daniel loves making people laugh and manages to be professional whilst looking on the light side of life. As he loves making each participant smile.

Daniel’s favourite things to do on CCC days are the monthly camps and going to the watch the pies train. He also enjoys taking our participants to Lovabowl where he gets the team involved to develop their skills.

Outside of CCC you’ll find him playing footy, basketball, tennis, working, hanging out with his dog Lola, enjoying company with his friends or going on long romantic walks.

We embody the belief that everyone has the right to fulfilling days

We use this as our guiding principle when planning our ever evolving schedule.

We believe that CCC offers a unique, flexible and participant centred approach to support service. By running group programs 7 days a week we offer participants of all different levels the opportunity to socialise, develop, achieve and grow within our supportive community.

What we value

Connection

We see ourselves as a big supportive family. We bring together participants with similar needs and challenges, and connect families both socially and logistically.

Inclusion

Our key driving value is inclusion. We seek to strip back stigmas and challenges that our participants may face and provide a welcoming, inclusive and caring environment.

Happiness

Participant happiness is at the core of everything we do. We attempt to share fulfilling experiences, healthy lifestyle approaches and build lasting friendships.

Accessibility

We offer days that are the same as any neurotypical person would experience. We don’t define someone based on their diagnosis but on who they are as a person and what they enjoy.

We create age and activity-appropriate days for everyone on our program and build opportunities for meaningful friendships in the program and outside the program.
